1. Background

Here are some facts about our client:

  • They are a lead generation company with a brand-new website.
  • They haven’t worked with an SEO agency before, and there was no existing blog content.
  • They needed to establish a strong online presence quickly.

Being a lead generation agency, it was especially important for our client to reach a broad audience online, as organic traffic is one of the primary revenue sources for digital lead generation firms.

Our client focuses on the real estate and property management niches, so we knew the general direction we’re aiming for right from the start.

2. Organic Traffic at the Beginning

When we started, our client had zero organic presence. Their website was brand new, and they had no existing content to drive traffic. They turned to us with a completely open request: establish them as a trustworthy source in their niche and set them up for long-term growth – no matter how we do it. Here’s what we did.

3. SEO Strategy

We knew the potential was enormous given their industry, but the challenge was to tap into it effectively. We had no guidelines, no predefined path, as their website was so new. The comprehensive SEO strategy we came up with involved several key steps:

A) Keyword Research

To start off, we conducted our signature Strategic Keyword Insights research. Based on its results, we targeted several key terms specific to cold lead generation services in the real estate and property management niches. This research allowed us to focus on keywords with high potential for traffic and conversions. Terms we targeted include “how to find landlords for property management” and “cold calling services for real estate investors”.

B) Technical SEO

Upon auditing the website, we found it lacked basic technical optimizations. We immediately:

  • Uploaded the sitemap to Google Search Console.
  • Ensured all pages were served over HTTPS.
  • Fixed any technical issues affecting indexing.

Knowing the website was now in pristine technical condition, we went on to develop its content strategy by performing our Content Catalyst procedure tailored to our client’s current situation.

C) Content Creation

Content was non-existent, so we rapidly executed our fresh content strategy:

  • Published high-quality blog content regularly.
  • Created 21 blog posts and 2 case studies within 4 months.
  • Used tactical internal linking and relevant keyword targeting to boost SEO.

At first, we published about three blog posts a week, which is a rather aggressive strategy. We did this in the beginning to quickly get our client’s website indexed and recognized by web crawlers. Later on, we gradually dialed the intensity back to a single blog post a week.

D) Link Building

Although not a primary focus initially, we began building a foundational backlink profile:

  • Acquired 5 high-quality backlinks.
  • Planned a more aggressive backlink strategy for future growth.

The website of our client is still relatively new after four months, so we’re not ready to execute a backlink strategy just yet. The focus is still on creating content for the website’s own blog and building topical authority directly.

4. Results

After just 4 months, our efforts yielded the following impressive results.

  • Our client started with just below 300 impressions throughout the first 10-day period of working with us
  • They’re currently getting 2,380 impressions throughout the last 10-day period
  • That’s an 801% uplift from the beginning.

19,000 total global impressions until now

  • Over the past 4 months of working together, daily impressions climbed steadily and totaled just over 19,000.
